Housekeeping Note

I would like to state that this blog will not be soley my own adventure. Over the next couple of days and weeks additional contributors will be joining the San Diego Politico family. It is my hope that the diverse county we live in will be reflected in the thoughts and opinions expressed by the additional contributors to this site.

My First Post

This is the first post for this blog. The goal for San Diego Politico is to foster much needed dialogue among the broader progressive community of San Diego. For too long San Diego has been thought of as a conservative bastion in California. Now, while that may be true to a certain extent, anyone remotely familiar with the history of San Diego knows that below the tranquil surface here, there has existed and still does exist a strong current for political change and social justice. My hope is that San Diego Politico can play a small role in achieving those objectives.
