WHAT:
This morning, immediately on the heels of receiving the backing of former President Bill Clinton last night, the State of California’s highest-ranking public education official will endorse Scott Peters for Congress.
WHO:
Tom Torlakson is the state of California’s Superintendent of Public Instruction and the only statewide non-partisan office holder in California. He is backing Peters today because he knows Scott will put education first, a priority Brian Bilbray has turned his back on in the Congress.
Peters believes every student who qualifies for college should be to attend college with the assistance of low-interest federal student loans.
