Marti Emerald for Mayor?

I have had a number of people tell me that the polling on the District 7 April Boling / Marti Emerald Race was incredible. Apparently, Marti's name ID and favorables are higher than Mayor Sanders in this right-leaning district. Head-to-head April doesn't have a chance, unless Marti commits murder between now and election day. I hear that there are even some even considering asking her to abandon the 7th and run for Mayor instead. Wouldn't that shake up the Mayor's race?

Oh, to leap into a wayback machine to talk her into it. Alas, it is too late. But she'll kick as on the council!

I think Marti will be a fantastic councilperson that will lead the charge on the issues we feel most passionate about. But I think she should get a bit more experience in municipal matters. But I do think we need a fresh face that is unencumbered by past political decisions. I believe that Ben Hueso would be a great candidate as mayor because of those reasons and would change the dynamics of the race. He would force Sanders and Francis to talk about issues they would rather ignore and make it into a real race...

With the exception of Donna Frye, everyone in the city who has municipal experience is part of the problem..What we need in a mayor is some integrity who is dedicated to transparency in government. Who better than Marti Emerald? C'mon Marti, seize the moment. The City needs you more than the 7th.

The city can use Marti as an important leader on the council, which would remain in the Dems favor with her victory over Dick Murphy's henchwoman April Boling.

Haha! At this point marti might be better off killing some, she can't do anything right
