Howard Dean to Host Fundraiser for Saldaña
SAN DIEGO – Presidential candidate and Former head of the Democratic National Committee, Governor Howard Dean, will be in San Diego in May to host fundraiser for Lori Saldaña.Saldaña, who is running for the 52nd Congressional District, was named one of the “Dean Dozen” during her successful 2004 campaign for the California Assembly.
The Dean Dozen were a group of twelve progressive Democratic candidates endorsed by Dean’s group, “Democracy for America” that included Barack Obama in his successful bid for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois.
Saldaña is the Democratic frontrunner is to unseat Republican Brian Bilbray in the newly-drawn 52nd District.
